ShareData is built from the ground up so that your raw corporate operational data never leaves your servers. Our open-source anonymization tool runs locally behind your firewall, strips personal identifiable information (PII) and company identifiers on your hardware, and keeps the scrub key in your custody.

This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains what information we collect on our website (`sharedata.io`) when you run a valuation estimate, submit a contact form, or schedule a call.

2. Information You Voluntarily Provide

When you complete the ShareData valuation quiz and submit your contact details, we collect:

• Business contact information — your name, work email address, company name, role, and optional phone number (plus technical contact details if you designate someone else to run the export).
• Valuation parameters — approximate employee count, years of operating history, headquarters location, software systems used, and primary data-sharing concerns.
• Scheduling information — if you book a call through our embedded Calendly widget, Calendly collects your name, email, and selected meeting time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit solely to:

• Deliver the open-source local anonymization tool to you or your designated technical lead;
• Evaluate whether your organization's dataset profile matches active enterprise AI buyer demand;
• Communicate with you regarding your valuation, technical setup, and prospective buyer offers;
• Attribute referrals to our affiliate partners when you arrive via a partner referral link.

We never sell your personal contact information to third-party marketers or data brokers.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use a minimal set of cookies and local storage items on this website:

• `sharedata_cookie_consent` (Essential) — remembers whether you accepted all cookies or essential-only cookies so we don't prompt you on every page view.
• `refer` (Affiliate Attribution) — if you visit the site via an affiliate referral link (`#refer=`), this cookie stores the partner identifier so the referring partner receives credit if a deal closes.
• Everflow & Calendly (Third-Party Functional/Attribution) — when enabled, Everflow attributes affiliate referrals and Calendly powers our embedded call-booking calendar.

5. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Form submissions and inbound valuation emails are stored securely in our encrypted Cloudflare D1 database and email infrastructure. We retain business inquiry records for as long as necessary to service your inquiry or maintain our business relationship, or until you request deletion.

6. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA & GDPR)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Request access to a copy of the business contact and valuation records we hold about you;
• Request correction or immediate deletion of your contact information from our pipeline;
• Opt out of non-essential cookies using the Cookie Settings banner.
